Daniel "Demonlord" Lindgren
1. General information
-----------------------

Your name:
Daniel "Demonlord" Lindgren
You live in (city & country):
Umea, Sweden (about 700km north of Stockholm)
Your birthdate (or age):
1972
Your occupation/job/studies:
Computer reseller, I sell computer parts
Your hobbies:
Computer gaming/TV/Disc-golf
Anything you want to add here (about yourself):
Hmm.. No

2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------

Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
G=Forward
B=Backward
F=Strafe Left
N=Strafe right
Space=use
Left mouse=Fire
Mid-mouse=strafe on
run=no key needed since change in default.cfg

Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
It was 150MB (Doom2 dir) last year, but only 90MB now, I have a lot of lmps, and wads. I have a separate directory for Final Doom, Plutonia, TNT, Hell Revealed and a total of maybe 200MB's today, I'll never delete them from my HD..
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
I think I searched for Doom in altavista and found a link to ftp.cdrom.com..
First COMPET-N demo:
Hmm... Thatone is hard.. I've deleted most of my old lmps, but I still have my old Tyson recrodings from level 10, 8, some of them are over 2 hours.. I think I made a "lightning run" way back also..
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself:
I think that my best dooming is in some of the Plutonia, TNT -fast 100/100 recordings and also of course some speed entries like level 4 (it's too much luck involved in such recording though). Maybe nightmare speed run level 1-10
(the one(s) that you're most proud of):
Tyson recordings of level 7, 29, I know they aren't compet-n ones. I guess I'm most satisfied with some of the Plutonia -fast 100/100 recordings and also some -fast tyson lmps
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
I think Anthe's nightmare runs and also his single NM entries of 17, 23, 29 are most impressive. There's a lot of lmps that are pretty damn good and deserves to be mentioned but I'll instead mention the players like, Anthe, Peo, Yonatan, Kai
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
I only played Doom until Doom2 arrived, in Doom2 level 1 when playing deathmatch, in single player, 10, 16
Favourite TC/megawad:
I think that danzig.wads are very good for deathmatch especially danzig12.wad, Megawad maybe Plutonia, Hell Revealed
Do you like Quake?
No, everything in Doom/Doom2 is so perfected so it's not even possible comparing, I don't think that 320x200 resolution matters, nor 4 player deathmatch limit
What do you think of DOOM now?
Still the best game ever made, the feeling of/in this game is different from anything else (you'll know what I'm talking about when you've played >500 hours..
Anything you want to add here:
I still don't understand why ID didn't/don't build a game based on Doom. Some changes would be ok as long as the old Doom-feeling is preserved. I still love the doom-games, always will..

Huh. Very hard to tell anything w/o being unbiased. Many players consider Daniel as the best (single) DOOM player ever. He's undoubtably the best all-around player in COMPET-N. He contributed numerous LMPs to all categories, can't say any style of the game which Daniel didn't master. He was the main man in COMPET-N for a long time, and even though he retired more than a year ago, he could still hold on to quite a lot of points. It's a big question what could have happened to COMPET-N if Daniel had stayed for another year...
