Robert J. Reevy
1. General information
-----------------------

Your name:
Robert J. Reevy
You live in (city & country):
Exeter, Devon, UK
Your birthdate (or age):
13/02/1984
Your occupation/job/studies:
Commercial website designer and soon-to-be A-level student
Your hobbies:
Playing and designing maps for computer games, card games, swimming, reading and programming.
Anything you want to add here (about yourself):
I recently decided to start writing software to be made available to everybody free of charge. At Rini's suggestion, I may also start playing DOOM again in NM with 100% secrets.

2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------

Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
Keyboard only, default configuration
Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
About 20MB each for DOOM and DOOM II
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
When Andi Kren introduced me to Istvan's temporary COMPET-N site in April 1997, I think. I can't remember any contact with it before that.
First COMPET-N demo:
200-re16.lmp
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
200-re16.lmp - MAP16 on UV -respawn without getting hit
n2m7-115.lmp - The record until mid-August 1997 when Ilya Britvich invented the yellow key trick

Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:

Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
E1M8 because of its lonely feeling and because of the way it reminds me of my first few months of playing DOOM.
Favourite TC/megawad:
Icarus - Alien Vanguard, by TeamTNT
Do you like Quake?
Yes, but so far I haven't played it anywhere near as much as the DOOMs, and I haven't made any levels for it.
What do you think of DOOM now?
I still play it and like it, but I'm now most interested in making levels to work with source ports such as TeamTNT's BOOM.
Anything you want to add here:
Some day I'd like to play DOOM in DeathMatch mode.

Robert is the most probable candidate to the "Youngest COMPET-N record holder ever" title. He was 13 years of age when introducing himself to COMPET-N. So it's a bit strange to think of him as an old player, but still he's been around for 2 years now. He never was a demo-machine like Daniel or Peo, instead he sent his demos occasionally, but with bigger improvements. Although he names different demos himself, I mostly remember his Episode 1 NightMare! demos as his best, with incredible times and very skilled, thoughtful playing. I hope he'll be back among us one day, maybe to pick up his lost points...
