What NOT to bring

(1) Stereos. Someone did that at a netparty once. believe it or not.

(2) External speakers and no headphones. Noone else will appreciate being forced to listen to your game.

(3) New -- we cannot have alcohol at this one. It is on a company's property, and the company doesn't want alcohol around.

(4) Illegal drugs. Here is the policy on illegal drugs:

a. Don't bring illegal drugs here. I'm sorry if that offends some people, but that is how it has to be. It's a reasonable request, especially considering the possibility of minors attending the netparty.

b. Don't ICQ me or come onto IRC and ask "Hey, do you mind if I bring <insert drug name> anyway?" I seriously do not want to hear about it. See (a) above for clarification.

c. Don't catch up with me on IRC or ICQ and be like "Hey, can I just keep it in my car?" or "We just talk about it and go somewhere else to smoke it" See (b) and (a) above for further clarification.

d. Do Greensting and I look like we want his SAAB shop and the Spring, 2003 netparty to be on a COPS special? (don't answer that). Do you think that the Doom2 scene really needs CNN plus all these loser local news programs howling about how a big, evil "doom2 cult" in Virginia was broken up by the FBI during a "drug bust"? (you know that's how the media would report it, just like they tried to blame Doom2 for those retards in Columbine. News shows are all about ratings, not about reporting what is real, don't forget).

e. What you do as an adult is your own business. Now, please don't ask me if you can bring drugs to the netparty, because, as (a) clarifies, I'm asking people explicitly not to bring drugs to the netparty.

(5) Cigarette policy is:
Smokers of legal age are welcome to use the designated smoking areas. The designated smoking areas are outside one of the two sets of shop doors.

The bathrooms are not designated smoking areas.
