I know it's been quite a while since the last update, actually this update should've been up 2 weeks earlier, but of course
the FTP had to go down exactly when I wanted to update, *sigh*.|
Anyway, here are the demos:
Henning Skogsto improved his DOOM2 NightMare 100% secrets run by some 7 minutes and got 62:44.
Radek Pecka did some very nice maxkills for both DOOM and DOOM2: MAP02 in 1:12, E1M4 in 1:43, E1M7 in
2:41. He also did a Tyson for E1M7 in
4:47, and another one for E3M6 in
4:07. Last but not least, he did a nice UV speedrun
for MAP09 in 1:03.
Chris "Ryback" Ratcliff recorded some demos for DOOM: E4M6 Max in 3:38 and E3M6 -fast in 3:23.
Joe "DOOMMANN" Abene quickly responded to the challenge and reclaimed the E3M6 -fast record with
Frank "ping" Lipsky recorded DOOM E1M8 NightMare in 1:03.
I recorded a couple of demos for Ultimate DOOM: E2M5 UV Speed in 0:27,
E1M8 NightMare in 0:49 and E3M5 NM100S in
Zvonimir "fx" Buzanic is back in action with a NM100S run for DOOM2: MAP06 in 1:07.
Final DOOM demos:
Xit Vono recorded various runs for TNT: MAP16 NightMare in 3:34,
MAP04 Pacifist in 4:56, and MAP31 NightMare secret
exit in 0:38.
Adam Williamson recorded a few Pacifists for TNT: MAP11 in 0:22,
and MAP23 in 0:32.
Selim "Bastard" Benabdelkhalek also recorded a Pacifist: MAP15 normal exit in 0:18.
Radek Pecka had a few demos for TNT as well: MAP01 UV -fast in 0:56,
same map in Tyson in 0:58, and MAP03 Tyson in
Doug "Opulent" Merrill recorded Plutonia MAP31 in UV -fast in 7:38.
Albert Valls (a regular player for contests) recorded his very first COMPET-N demo, beating Opulent's MAP31 UV -fast and
getting a time of exactly 6:00.
I recorded a couple of TNT demos too: MAP15 Pacifist for secret exit in 0:20
and NightMares for MAP31 (normal exit in 0:30, secret
exit in 0:34.

Apart from the new demos, I did some maintenance with the database and the demo archive on the FTP, mainly synchronizing

was changed, check out the log here. There will be another maintenance update soon, that one
fixing mistimed single and cooperative movies (because there are a lot).
