Thomas "Panter" Pilger
1. General information
-----------------------

Your name:
Thomas "Panter" Pilger D2S (:
You live in (city & country):
Bischofsheim, Germany (thats near Frankfurt a.M.)
Your birthdate (or age):
18/10/79...so Iīm 19 at the moment (:
Your occupation/job/studies:
currently school (13th year)...so I hope Iīll get a job next year! Anyone who needs a game-bug-tester ? (:
Your hobbies:
Computergames especailly Lan-games (except Strategy-games like C&C), Keyboard (the one that makes music :), Startrek (have recorded every TNG, DSN & VOY episode), listening to my new DolbySurround-Sound (: (Techno, Classic and Soundtracks), watching movies (cinema & video), Realms of Arkania (?) (that english for DSA), and I have about 7 hours school/day (but thats no hobby)
Anything you want to add here (about yourself):
Email is Panter@uni.de, HP isnīt updated since a year (no time...and what should it be about ? The only interesting thing I have is .lmps...and you can get them by Compet-N Ftp-Site anyway)

2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------

Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
w = Strafe left
r = Strafe right
e = backpedal (:
a = run (never used autorun (joyb_speed 31 (even in other games like Quake)))
In Doom this is one of the best key-layouts possible (IMO) because itīs nearest to weapon control. Only problem that may occur in DM is the key R (: (in quake I use s,e,r,t and descent (or forsaken) is cursor keys to strafe, shift-forward, Ctrl-backward) uhhhh...just noticed the question was about Doom-config (:
ok then thereīs a YAKUMO mouse (I hate that shit heavy (expensive :) microsoft mouses) and a Cherry G80-3000HAD keyboard (still from my very first PC (DX-33) about 7 years old) a (half-defect) Smile 15" Monitor (very nice to wait 5min until it gets warm...and that screen-jumping when it IS warm... Well...you get used to this :) It gets its information by a Matrox Mystique (sometimes even by a Monster 3D...but thats not Doom again :) Sound is a AWE32 PnP (I hate Plague & Pray :), with a KR-V7080 Audio-Video Sourround Receiver (switched at Stereo in Doom, with two 300W Infinity SM-155) Actual processor is P187,5...Main HD is Seagate ST52520A 2.5 GB... Mousepad-color red (:

Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
about 120MB on my Main HD...but EVERY HD has got it own copy of D2... so all in all about 200 MB
Path for Doom2 is "C:\Doom2\" 3000 files
Path for UltimateDoom is "C:\Temp3\Doom1_SE\" (: 13 files ((:

First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
Hmmmmmmm....guy called Sven Huth phoned (yes, from Berlin :) .me and asked about a DM (which I denied cause of inet problems and a very slow (33.6) modem)...Well... he didnīt know much about Compet-N so I asked Kai-Uwe instead of him...this must have been at aproximately 6-9.97
First COMPET-N demo:
lv20-039.lmp...got bettered by lv20-037.lmp
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
((((: Well...what do you expect me to say..? (: I like most of my .lmps...ok (:...there are special ones like lv01-005, nm01-005, e1m1-009, nm22-051, nm29-451, 20xxnm21. Uhh...yes...thereīs also a movie that wasnīt bad too...(:
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
nm21-22 runs by Istvan and Anthe, ep1-1444 (because of the .txt), and all the others except -max -respawn -fast .lmps
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
map1 (because itīs the best DM map) also like 8, 11, 13, 17, 22, 26 and 32
Favourite TC/megawad:
After some Doom addon cdīs (and thousands of .wads) I can say the best ones are my own (mega.wad & giga.wad :) but they are nothing against map 01 (: Well...yes...the ones which are already mentioned by some other players (HR,TNT,Plutonia etc.) have surely a nice, maybe an even better, level design than the normal D2 maps.. but I donīt have time to get into them...it just takes too long to learn hundreds of new maps by hard (Iīm even too lazy to learn Max routes for normal Doom...(and I canīt aim very well..what is needed by Max...but thats another story :)) So...If you seek for some fun-playing Doommaps you should chose these Add-ons... but If you want to increase your skill you REALLY should concentrate on ONE thing.
Do you like Quake?
yepp...DM4 at normal 2 or 3 player DM...CTF5 with >3players. But I hate Q2
What do you think of DOOM now?
greatest 3d-game...although ALL the newer 3D-Games look better it has the most fun. I hate this new-generation kids who run after each new release...who just like graphic-orgies w/o a nice balanced gameplay
Anything you want to add here:
Hmm....donīt like this "open" questions..(: ... Anyway...maybe you want to give me some feedback mail...although I had days with >20 I still love to reply them. And you can buy my the original D2S-Mouse (not cleaned yet :)...just 20$ (:

Well you cannot imagine how hard it is to write anything really good here... So instead I'll tell the story of this form.
Some days (just kidding...) after I put up the forms on the old home page, Panter asked if he can have a new one. I knew that he was working on 30nm, so I told that he can have a new form after he completes 30nm. So he fought another two months just to have the form (just kidding again) and finally he uploaded his "appliance". I accepted it :) and sent him the 2nd blank form to fill. Then he sent it back, and "ordered" me several times to write new comments for it. He also mentioned that my new comments should be very good...
So now I'm here and writing "very good comments" :)
Instead, I'd paste here something which is very special to me (and I hope it is special to Panter too):

Thanks for the info. I grabbed the demos and I'll run them as soon as I have a little spare time - I can't wait to see a nightmare run through DOOM2, it's just gotta be impossible!

Oh yes, one more thing... Panter is now the recorder of the longest COMPET-N form! ;)))
